How / when did yoga come into your life? What does yoga mean to you?
I received my first yoga class at work from a real Indian guru. After 1 lesson I already knew; this is good for me. For me, yoga is a method that works perfectly to get out of my head. To calm the flow of thoughts and to come relaxed to the 'now'. Yoga keeps me flexible and strong as a bonus.
What can students expect in your lesson? What do you want to give your students?
Expect a dynamic lesson from me, in which I will guide you through a yoga flow using Ashtanga yoga techniques. This way you experience less mental noise and more peace and space. In the lessons I also take ample time for silence, focus on the breath and lying in the final relaxation Savasana.
I also pay attention to alignment: I teach you how to perform the postures in the safest and most supportive way. This prevents injuries and has a healing effect.
What do you do besides yoga?
In addition to yoga, I love music and nature. From January 2020 I follow the IVN nature guide training. I also have a bee population, so if you like honey, let me know 😊
