Ashtanga mysore STYLE

At De Yoga Studio we offer a full Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style Program! We only work with teachers from around the world authorized by the Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute. Every 3 months another teacher will come so you can experience the magic of a real Mysore practice. Every day you will be assisted by a senior teacher who dedicates his or her life to Ashtanga Yoga. The growth, depth, awareness and development you will experience are transformative.


what is mysore style practice?

Mysore Style Practice is the traditional way to practice Ashtanga Yoga. The fixed sequence of Ashtanga Yoga postures is performed by everyone in the group at their own pace in this lesson. The teacher walks around and gives everyone the individual attention he or she needs. He or she helps you deeper into the postures, corrects if necessary and helps you to get familiar with all the postures of the series.

Mysore Style Practice is suitable for everyone! The tale that only students with a lot of experience can practice Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style is a myth. Because the teacher helps everyone individually, it is the ideal way for a beginner to learn the series posture by posture.

We only work with top teachers authorized by the Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute from around the world. These are all teachers who have learned to teach directly from the source, and they devote their lives to Ashtanga Yoga. They have earned their authorization through dedication, concentration, perseverance and love for the practice. This will be passed on by them during the Mysore classes. Time and frequency

The classes of the Mysore Program are:
Monday till Friday: 6:00 - 8:30 uur
Monday till Friday: 17:00 - 18:45 uur
You can start any time you want as long as you finish before the end of the class.

On Sunday the Mysore teachers will also give the Ashtanga Led class. Click HERE for the schedule.

You can choose whether you come daily or a few times a week. Traditionally, the practice is done 6 days a week; Saturday is a day of rest. To experience the effects of yoga we recommend you practice at least 3 times a week
We honor the tradition of Saturdays and full and new moon days as rest days. Look at the bottom of our home page for the current moon phase.
